Set shown in the picture is acrylic (which as an additional $25) if you do not want to pay for acrylic then purchase (hard gel) it is just as sturdy as acrylic is its just not acrylic and some people prefer acrylic. Set will look the same if it is hard gel instead of acrylic being a polish is used as the base color! Set Comes With A 10 Piece Press On Nail Set.
